Since birth all Audifax wanted to do was create and began drawing in perspective by the age of 4. Growing up in a family unable to afford art school, she felt trapped in a world where work meant survival. Clinging to the feeling that there was more to existence, she saved money from jobs at a gas station, pharmacy and office and opened a clothing and record store with rotating gallery, with her partner at the time. Though tiring working a morning job, operating the store during the day and doing promotions at night, for the first time she felt alive. When the shop had to close she was lost once again, with a burning passion to push beyond societal rules and just create. Finally listening to the inner voice prompting her to paint, the first home-made canvas was 6 feet wide, which immediately sparked the urge to move to walls.

Yearning for a major life shift, she sold her belongings, taking the risk to focus on art. Using the money, she traveled to Europe without knowing anyone there, where street art was legal, spray paint half price and apartments were cheap to rent, and found her canvas. There she went to the streets, began painting, and was hooked. Upon returning to the States, before street art was accepted, she constructed a makeshift wall of her own with large, raw canvas. Since then, she’s found passion in working on walls, large canvas and sculpture and in spreading the message that regardless of age, race, gender or background; dreams are achievable if we connect with our truth, push beyond our comfort zone by overcoming the perceived limitations we place upon ourselves and open to what’s possible.

In her spare time she creates street art and continues to explore meditation. With certifications in mindfulness practices, she guides meditation in jail and shares her experiences of art and mindfulness by teaching and creating murals with community programs in urban and rural areas alike; knowing people can use inner peace and guidance whatever their story may be. “There is a theme throughout my life- to push the boundaries and make the vision happen, knowing I gave my absolute best, honored my talents by trying and inspired others to follow what’s in their hearts, fearlessly.”
